Education Key Stage

The national Curriculum Key Stages are broken into two parts; primary and secondary. Primary Education is made up of two stages, which are; Key Stage’s One and Two and secondary education is also made up of two stages, which are Key Stage’s Three and Four.  Key Stage One is developed for children aged 4-7 and Key Stage Two is for children aged 7-11.
The school curriculum comprises all learning and other experiences that each school plans for its pupils; and the National Curriculum is an important element of the school curriculum.
The primary curriculum consists of identical aims, values and purposes, indicates general teaching requirements, specifies the subjects to be taught and instructs a structured approach to subject and pupil assessments.

With regards to the secondary curriculum the National Curriculum for England at Key Stage’s 3 and 4 was first published by QCA in 2007, with implementation into schools commencing in September 08.  Like with the Key Stage’s mentioned above, Key Stage’s Three and Four uphold the same principles in terms of aims, values, purposes, teaching requirements, subjects and assessments; but developed for a slightly older pupil.  KS3 is created for pupils aged between 11 and 14, whereas KS4 is for pupils aged between 14 and 16.  Key Stage’s One to Four cover the complete learning guidelines and makes up the overall primary and secondary education.
Nowadays, more and more parents are seeking online educational tools to help teach their children and combining games with learning is a fantastic way to for making education a success.  Based on this rule www.keystagetwo.com, a virtual learning environment is now one of the top websites for Key Stage Two pupils.
As KeyStageTwo.com is compliant with the National Curriculum in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, UK schools are now availing of the service.  On completion of quick set-up and installation, Schools and teachers use it for…..
-Saving time on marking tests.
-By issuing homework online, reducing photocopying and paper costs.
-By using the individual and class results summary, pinpointing areas requiring improvement, thus raising children’s performance.
-Clearly viewing children’s analysis displaying strengths and weaknesses, allowing the teacher to focus on them and provide feedback where necessary.
Parents use the system in one of two ways; firstly if their children’s school is enrolled in the system already, parents can log on and view their own child’s performance and results, tracking their progress.  They also use it to read teacher feedback and use the system with their little ones on a one-to-one basis.  Secondly, if a child’s school is not yet enrolled, parents can sign up to the system for just ten pounds per month offering unlimited anytime access to all the resources, effectively tutoring the child themselves, for a fraction of the traditional tutoring costs.
